1. She keeps her workouts fun and interesting
J.Lo has learned to keep her workouts fun and fresh over the years. That means some days, she’s doing stair sprints, and others she’s doing dance cardio with Tracy Anderson or workouts to specifically blast her booty. Though she means business when it comes to her fitness routine, she’s not afraid to be silly with it either. Sometimes that involves some extra-flirty push-ups with her other half, Alex Rodriquez. Ain’t they funny?
2. She’s a fan of daily affirmations
If you tell yourself you’re ageless, you are ageless, right? Well, the affirmation seems to be working for Lopez. She previously revealed she uses the power of positive thinking to boost her self-confidence and ensures she stays radiant. “Affirmations are so important. I am youthful and timeless. I tell myself that every day, a few times a day. It sounds like clichéd bullshit, but it’s not: Age is all in your mind. Look at Jane Fonda,” she says.
3. She’s all about high-vibe facial oil
Aside from telling herself she’s youthful and timeless, she has a go-to product: Her makeup artist Mary Phillips says Lopez is a fan of Själ’s Saphir Concentrate, a facial oil that not only contains aquamarine—the stone of eternal youth—but also botanical retinol, soothing blue chamomile, and a biomarine complex. At $175 a pop, it’s certainly pricey, but hey—it seems to work.
4. She drinks a ton of water
During an interview with Dr. Oz, Lopez revealed she doesn’t drink alcohol, and instead opts for chugging hydrating H2O. “For me, it feels good. It’s mostly what I drink all the time. I don’t count [how many glasses] I drink, but I drink it all day,” she says. She also gets between six and eight hours of sleepevery night and stays out of the sun—two more easy and unbeatable healthy beauty habits to start ASAP.
5. She eats a clean, healthy diet
J.Lo is all about fueling her body with wholesome foods, and she’s definitely picked up some metabolism-boosting tricks from celebrity nutritionist Haylie Pomroy along the way. Pomroy’s main goal is helping her clients change the way their bodies use food as fuel through a few different techniques: eating only real food (AKA plenty of fruits and veggies!) and nothing processed that contains artificial sweeteners, dyes, and preservatives, not counting calories or cutting portions, and eating within 30 minutes of waking up as part of a total of three meals and two snacks every day. Easy enough, right?
